Greetings~ My name is Alexandra, and I am a neuroscientist and artist. Since 2017, I have been exploring the beauty of biology through wearable art. I have embroidered close to a hundred items for myself and friends, including neurons, bugs, vegetables, abstract patterns, and more! I am inspired by textile artists and tattoo artists alike - especially Marie Sophie Lockhart and Girl Knew York.

I did my undergraduate work in neuroscience at UC Davis and spent three years as a technician at UCSF, working on developing animal models of neonatal brain injury. In March 2024, I completed my PhD in Neuroscience with Dr. Kimberley McAllister at the Center for Neuroscience (UC Davis).
